I am about to head out on a new adventure- this one on my motorcyle. The rough plan(I find a moto adventure, or any adventure for that matter is better without too much planning.) is to ride about 6000 miles total through the NE of the US and then Nova Scotia, Prince Edwards Island, and New Foundland, Canada-and back to Atlanta. The 1st leg of the trip I’l be riding with my dad with him on his 39 year old motorcycle. For the mid part of the trip, my wife will join me and ride on the back of my bike from Portland, Maine to Halifax, Nova Scotia as we follow the coast. On the northen most part of my trip I’ll be riding with my good friend and frequent riding partner, Brian.
The name “Slight Right on 85N” comes from the early planning of the trip as I roughed out a 6000 mile round trip route from Atlanta in Google Maps- the 1st line of the direction were “A slight right…”. Never mind the following 1500 turns on 100’s of roads over 6000 miles. To me, the name is a reminder that every big (ad)venture starts with a small step.
Here’s a shot from the 1st leg of the trip when I rode my bike to NY a few weeks ago on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Stay tuned for many more adventure stories from the road.

Looking forward to hearing about your adventure, especially the PEI leg of your trip. I’m from PEI originally and my wife from Nova Scotia, so we would be happy to help if you need advice.
I have almost the exact same photo (well substitute my kawi) from a 20000KM boston-key west-san diego-vancover round trip I did a couple months back. I basically just wandered as well, without much of a plan and it really is the best way. The blue ridge parkway is a great ride. Don’t know if you made it all the way out to the west coast of Canada but that’s my next destination in the spring.
via notcot.com –> needed a new wallet –> then was curious about the logo –> then saw the phot0 –> which randomly enough, is all because I wore through my last wallet during above mentioned trip and had to replace it on the go with something I am not quite happy with.
I like the mojito but not really digging the color options. Black on Black or Silver on Black would be what I want.
